The Alexa Chung Outfits We Always Copy

When you ask a fashion fan to name their style icons, there's a good chance Alexa Chung is on that list. The British model and designer has developed a look that, while all her own, always seems to catch the eyes of others in the know. So much so that this year, Chung finally launched an entire line inspired solely by her personal aesthetic.
Part of what makes Chung's style interesting is that while she's partial to classic pieces, she's still a risk-taker. It's equally likely she'll wear a suit on the red carpet as a fancy dress, and she can just as easily nail Converse and vintage as she can head-to-toe Miu Miu. Below, we're highlighting some of our favorite looks from over the years. It was hard to narrow it down, but we managed to pull it off. Check them out below, and prepare for major outfit envy.

Style Notes: To make an outfit of classic pieces pop, add an eye-catching bag boasting a statement print, unique shape, or unexpected texture à la Alexa.

Style Notes: When it comes to timeless prints, there's nothing like a floral pattern to emanate pretty vibes (no matter the season). We love this souped-up take by Emilia Wickstead, featuring a deep sweetheart neckline and bow detailing at the waist.

Style Notes: A classic suiting ensemble is always a do—especially surrounding the holiday season. Give the look a festive edge with a jewel-tone clutch and a marabou scarf.

Style Notes: Painterly patterns may be an unconventional choice, but Alexa proves their strength in numbers. At Paris Fashion Week, she took head-to-toe prints for a spin in breezy separates and pulled off the look with aplomb. Sleek accessories kept the outfit overtly modern.

Style Notes: Travel style doesn't have to be boring. Adding French girl–chic espadrilles, a blazer, and a vacation-worthy hat to a classic jeans-and-tee combo makes her outfit stand out.

Style Notes: Don't feel like you have to stick with color. Black and white work just as well (especially with a red lip).

Style Notes: If there's one pair of shoes that works for any occasion, it's a pair of sleek black ankle boots.

Style Notes: Don't underestimate your favorite pair of sneakers. They go just as well with a maxi skirt as they would with a pair of jeans.

Style Notes: Don't be afraid to mix and match a lace frock with a tough trench, especially for a cool daytime look.
