You know it. You saw it everywhere. Heck, you might have even bought it. That's right, I'm talking about that leopard-print silk midi skirt. "The Naomi" by Réalisation Par more or less won 2018 (and this year). You couldn't thumb through Instagram or walk down the street without seeing the spotted stunner (or one of its many iterations from brands like & Other Stories, H&M, and so on. Rightfully so—the staple's on-trend pattern (can't go wrong with animal print) and forward shape (a modern twist on a '90s silhouette) made it a wardrobe front-runner for a reason. While the look is still going strong, there's another leopard item that seems to also be taking the spotlight (lol). It seems I can't go a day scrolling through IG without spotting (there I go again) a leopard jacket—especially Anine Bing's leopard Flynn jacket.
The topper, which debuted earlier this summer, skews on the higher end in terms of price point, but it's an investment outerwear piece that does have longevity. You could honestly wear it all season and beyond thanks to its trend-forward nature with the slouchy fit and ability to pair flawlessly with even the simplest of outfits thanks to its statement flair. It's no wonder the fashion scene continues to gravitate toward the item for fall.
To show you what I mean, I gathered a few of my favorite 'fits featuring the jacket in question, complete with fall styling tips. Naturally, you can also shop the must-have below. (Please note, the topper actually sold out on Shopbop while I was writing this story.) Bonus! Keep on scrolling to find other just-as-stylish leopard-print fall jackets if you're into something just a bit different. I also included the famous leopard skirt at the end in case you still have your eye on it.
