Everyone has been there: You want to buy something online but the model looks nothing like you, so you can't really get a sense of how the piece will really look on your body. So what do you do? Cross your fingers, add it to cart, and hope for the best. But now ASOS is trying to make the process a bit more inclusive.
As InStyle reports, ASOS has started showing the same clothes on different-sized models using Augmented Reality technology. "Keep your eyes peeled as this rolls out across our app," the brand tweeted. ASOS also issued a statement to InStyle: "We’re always testing new technology that can make our customers’ experience even better. In this case, we’re experimenting with AR to show product on different size models, so customers can get a better sense of how something might fit their body shape."
For now, only select items are shown on different-sized models, but we'll be anxiously awaiting even more options soon.
