Best Blazers

As an avid blazer connoisseur, I can attest to how difficult it is to find one that feels just right—one that has the perfect amount of structure yet is comfortable, one that is boxy but not too oversize, and one that looks expensive regardless of the actual price. What tends to happen when you're looking for the "perfect" version of something is that you end up buying lots of imperfect versions of it, leaving you unsatisfied. Well, that just won't do, at least not on my watch.

I decided to reach out to my stylish co-workers for the blazers that they cannot live without. According to the picky editors ahead, the blazers they listed are truly the best ever, and trust me when I say they don't say that often. From investment-worthy designs to some cult-classic affordable brands, the picks ahead are our editors' all-time favorite blazers, and I can't wait for you to feast your eyes on them.

Additionally, in case the small selection of "best" blazers doesn't excite you, I shopped out some newer ones on the market that I've had my eye on. You're welcome.

"I'd been chasing after a great black blazer for what felt like years before I added this one to my closet. Since it's technically unisex, it has a cool oversize fit, but for that reason, I'd also suggest going down a whole size like I did here. I wear mine multiple times a week with everything from jeans to dresses."

"I actually have this blazer in off-white, but everything about it is perfect, so I might need to invest in the black one too. Toteme's menswear-inspired style features a boxy yet structured fit, and it comes in a substantial wool-blend fabric that lends such a substantial feel to it."

"This light-colored blazer is one of the hero pieces in my wardrobe. I bought it a size up for a boxy, chic silhouette."

"My pinstripe blazer is one of my favorite closet staples. It feels modern while still offering classic, polished tailoring."

"After seeing this blazer all over my Instagram feed as of late, I've determined that it just might be one of the It buys for this spring. It comes in so many fun pops of color, and I'm obsessed. If you told me a few weeks ago in the depths of the winter when all I wore were neutrals that I'd be in a pink blazer soon, I wouldn't have believed you. But I was sold when I tried this one on."

"This blazer is so good that I immediately picked it up in another color when I first came across it. It's the perfect amount of oversize without looking too trendy, and the structure is absolute perfection. It's lightweight enough that I know I'll be wearing it through the spring."

"I just ordered this Jacquemus piece for when I want something in the blazer category but a little more interesting."

"Every time someone asks me to help them find a blazer, I direct them to Zara. Specifically, anything it labels 'oversize' tends to have the perfect cool and relaxed fit."

"Even when they were at peak popularity, I never felt pulled to wear a cropped blazer. That was until I saw this one at Zara modeled on Lila Moss. It's perfectly cropped and looks cool with genuinely everything in my closet, from skirts to trousers to jeans."

"Technically, my blazer is from Gant's collaboration with Wrangler, but unfortunately for anyone who didn't shop the underrated drop, it's already sold out. This COS alt is just as versatile, though. I especially love the menswear-inspired fit and double-breasted style and tend to keep the styling simple with a white tee and jeans."

"Zara's blazer selection is top-notch. I've always had success with its relaxed silhouettes that tend to look way more expensive than their price tag. I'm excited to try fitted, nipped-in silhouettes this season."

"I've had my Maje blazer for years, and it is one of those quality staples that I'll wear for years to come. This classic silhouette is timeless and effortlessly chic."

"This is the perfect leather blazer. I've worn it countless times, and I know that I'll be wearing it for years to come."

"I might wear this blazer more than anything else in my closet. The fit is perfect, the material feels expensive, and it can double as a jacket on those days when it's kind of chilly as opposed to freezing."
