So I wear a lot of T-shirts. There's simply nothing more versatile, comfortable, and cool than a good tee. And given that it's probably the number one wardrobe basic in life, I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in my obsession with them. But since I started working from home a few years ago, my T-shirt collection has slowly but surely taken over my closet, and given how much I wear them, I have no regrets whenever I invest in a new one (which is often). I've also come to realize how much of an understatement it is to say that not all T-shirts are created equal. For every perfectly soft tee that falls just so and holds up for dozens and dozens of wears, there are 10 that aren't worth wearing more than once. That's why I'm sharing with you what the best T-shirts on the market are from my personal experience (along with a little Instagram proof sprinkled in).

Keep reading to find out which 15 tees I highly recommend and to shop them for yourself.

Not only does Re/Done make the softest, best-fitting tees you'll ever meet, but this one also has rainbows and a unicorn on it. Win-win.

I don't wear many long-sleeve tees, but I've reached for this one more times than I can count. It's just the best "fashion" striped tee in the game. (Just be sure to size up, as it runs small.)

Available in sizes XS to L.

Urban Outfitters has a new collection of $20 T-shirts. This particular one is so high quality that I'd pay twice that for it.

Available in sizes XS to XL.

You can't beat the price, size range, or color selection of Everlane's tees. I'm particularly fond of the modern fit of its Box-Cut Tee.

Available in sizes XXS to XL.

I like for my graphic tees to have a side of nostalgia, and this one reminds me of growing up in the '90s. The fit is spot on, and it looks cool with high-waisted jeans and sneakers.

Available in sizes P to L.

It's not surprising that Reformation's tees always sell out since pretty much everything the brand touches turns to gold. This one is particularly soft and has the perfect drape.

Available in sizes XS to XL.

Champion's tees are nice and thick, and they still feel fresh and classic in the oversaturated streetwear market.

If you want a basic, fitted white tee that goes with everything and is as timeless as they come, I advise getting yourself this one from the ultra-affordable Hanes x Karla collection.

The fashion crowd has an enduring affection for Double Trouble Gang's subtle pop culture–inspired graphic tees. Bonus: The brand makes custom tees on its e-commerce site.

Rolla's striped ringer tees are perfectly soft and shrunken. They look especially right with denim shorts.

Available in sizes XS to L.

Ganni is another fashion-crowd favorite, and as long as the brand keeps making the coolest graphic tees each season, everyone will keep wearing them.

Available in sizes XS to XL.

I own this tee in so many colors because it's perfect for layering and/or tucking. I also find the wide sleeves to be flattering.

I'm a longtime fan of Mott & Bow's jeans, and its new collection of soft and silky tees are just as good.

Available in sizes XS to XL.

If you want a classic striped tee that's available in tons of colors and sizes and will become one of your wardrobe staples for years to come, I recommend looking no further than Saint James's high-quality options.

La Ligne's tees are a bit of a splurge, but the fit and feel undoubtedly justify the price tag.
