Before the age of Instagram, pretty much all we had to inspire us were pictures of celebrities in magazines. (Can you even remember what that was like?) But it's 2018 now, and honing in on cool girls to follow is easier than ever—except for one thing. It's a little too easy to find fashion girls to inspire us all these days.

Your feed is probably so filled with OOTD posts and sneaker selfies that it can be hard to find the fresh style inspiration you're seeking. But here at Who What Wear, we're fully committed to helping you develop your own personal style on a daily basis. Part of that is introducing you to (or, reminding you of) creative fashion girls that you may not be as familiar with as, say, Chiara Ferragni.

Included among the nine need-to-know fashion girls we're currently quite enamored with are a breakout actress, a French model, a 64-year-old blogger, and a few street style stars that you may have spotted on our very own Instagram feed. Ahead, you'll see exactly why these women are included in this list (via Instagram posts, naturally).

Yara Shahidi

To say that Yara Shahidi has an impressive résumé for a 17-year-old is an understatement. The actress and activist is one of the stars of Blackish and its spinoff series Grown-ish, and advocates diversity in Hollywood and education for girls. Not only that, but she has a spot at Harvard waiting for her. We love her original, bold aesthetic.

Clémentine Desseaux

Clémentine Desseaux is France's most famous curvy model, a blogger, and an advocate for body positivity. She has an innately cool, effortless sense of style that women of all shapes and sizes would gladly emulate.

Lyn Slater

With 285k Instagram followers and counting, 64-year-old Accidental Icon blogger Lyn Slater proves that women of any age can and should wear whatever they feel represents them best. She pulls off her quirky, creative looks with ease and confidence.

Rachael Wang

Stylist Rachael Wang is a street style photographer favorite, and with good reason. She's a pro at taking tricky trends and styling them to be completely wearable IRL. Not only that, she stands up for what she believes in, often wearing pieces that convey an important message.

Adwoa Aboah

Adwoa Aboah has long been a top model in the eyes of the fashion industry, but her recent British Vogue cover under new EIC Edward Enninful undoubtedly shot her straight to supermodel stardom. She also founded Gurls Talk, described as "a safe space for girls to share and listen without any judgment or stigma." How's that for inspirational?

Jessica Minkoff

Jessica Minkoff, editorial director of Kirna Zabete, is one of those girls who always makes us do a double take when we spot her among the street style pack. Her accessory game is enviable, to say the least, and she never strays from her signature streetwear-inspired aesthetic.

Anne-Victoire Lefevre

When Vogue recently profiled fashion insider Anne-Victoire Lefevre and her stunning freckles, we naturally headed straight to her Instagram and found a cool Taiwanese-Parisian cool girl with an effortless je ne sais quoi about her.

Alessandra Garcia Lorido

Los Angeles–based Alessandra Garcia Lorido, 26, is the daughter of actor Andy Garcia, but she's made a name for herself as a size-12 model, with work for cool-girl brands like Reformation under her belt. She's a body positivity advocate, and as you'll see from her Instagram, has an infectious energy and easy, playful approach to style.

Tiffany Hsu

Tiffany Hsu is the buyer for MyTheresa.com and a bona fide street style star who never fails to take bold sartorial risks that inspire us to do the same. (And she's pretty much a walking example of what the next big trends will be.)
