I Have Yet to Buy Winter Boots This Season, so I Expeditiously Found These

I did a very un–fashion editor thing this winter: I neglected to buy a pair of fresh boots before the influx of bitterly cold weather. Essentially, I've been rotating the same few pairs all season, wearing them nonstop until their unsightly disintegration. It's not necessary to buy a new pair every year, but as someone who proclaims that boots are her favorite type of shoe and prepares a style mood board before each season changes, it's a pretty big deal. Considering we're in the thick of winter and my go-to boots are on their last legs, I feel like now's the time to finally pull the trigger.

For all my procrastination, I found that there's a bright side to shopping this late in the game. Thanks to all of the post-winter sales, a lot of the styles I've been eyeing are priced way less than they were just a few weeks ago. Suddenly, splurging on an extra pair is looking real nice. To share the wealth, I took note of the cutest boots I've seen along the way and gathered them here. If you're keen on a specific style, I've also broken them down by category, so keep scrolling and pick your favorite.

I've heard so many great things about these boots, namely how expensive they look.

These are on sale, so you know what to do!

No one makes better combat boots than Dr. Martens.

Just imagine all the outfits you could wear these with.

Block-Heeled

The narrow square toe feels '90s and modern at the same time.

About as walkable as heeled boots can get.

Western

Style these with a delicate floral dress.

These would transition so well in the spring.

Printed

There's a reason these are almost sold out.

A pair of tiger-print boots have been on my mood board since last year.

If you're looking to have more fun with your wardrobe this year, I have the perfect way to do it.

Pair these with skinny jeans and a wool coat for an easy, sophisticated winter look.

If you couldn't get the Phoebe Philo Celine version, these will make up for it.

Not sure about you, but I'm still into slouchy boots.
