Honestly? I've never really been a festival person. I know people who absolutely love attending them, never miss a Coachella, and will even travel to different cities for festivals. But that wasn't me. I'm not sure why, as I love music and any excuse to dress outside my comfort zone. But there's something about the big crowds and walking miles from one stage to another that didn't appeal to me. You'll never guess what convinced me to go to my first festival. I had a Hamptons trip already planned with friends, who have a running joke about how I'm always drinking a Celsius, my energy drink of choice. Turns out Celsius was sponsoring a festival in the Hamptons the same weekend we were already going to be visiting.
When the stars align like that, how can one say no? Suddenly my relaxing weekend out East turned into me attending my first festival, and I totally needed to pivot on what I was planning to pack.
