The Best Looks (and Locks) You Missed at Lollapalooza

Music festivals are undoubtedly one of the most anticipated highlights of the summer season. We love everything from dancing under the stars to stuffing our faces with gourmet food-truck fare. Okay, so maybe we don’t love waiting in long lines for lobster rolls and lukewarm rosé, but it’s a small price to pay for all of the fun—and style watching—that’s in store.

Of our favorite fashion scenes to scope out is the one at Lollapalooza. Held annually in Chicago’s Grant Park, the festival inspires slightly edgier looks than the more bohemian flair of its desert-based counterparts. And this year did not disappoint: Between singing along to our favorite Lorde songs to swooning over Foster the People’s relaxed set, we stopped by the Bed Head party at the Hard Rock Hotel to get our hair concert-ready. After all, festival dressing is truly a head-to-toe experience.

Have a festival to dress for in your future? Ahead, we’ve rounded up the best fashion and beauty looks we spotted at Lollapalooza.

We’re calling it now: Thick gold hoops will replace skinny ones this summer and beyond.

Gingham was definitely the It print of the summer, and we love the way Jill Wallace of Little Black Boots wore it as a set with of-the-moment retro frames and a basket bag.

The Bed Head Hotel was locked and loaded with styling products to create cool ’dos on its party guests.

Proof that crop tops and braids are still outdoor concert must-haves.

The most popular hairstyle of the weekend was a half up bun and Jena Gambaccini of Chi City Fashion’s braided version looks adorable with this on-trend kimono set.

Blue hair, don’t care. We love the wavy, cropped style the Bed Head team created for Whitney Middleton.

Chokers and sunnies still reign supreme as festival accessories.

The see-through trend of last year is back with a vengeance.
