Cabincore Is the New Cottagecore, and Yes, It Includes Lots of Flannel

While the summer was all about going on picnics and wearing your best Little Women–era prairie dresses, the cold weather has arrived, and the season of cottagecore has (sadly) come to its end. But don't fret. There's a new style aesthetic taking its place: cabincore. It's exactly what it sounds like, centering on the idea of keeping cozy during the fall and winter seasons and bringing in the feeling of spending a weekend at the cabin. Think chunky-soled boots, cozy knits, and lots of flannel, because there would be no cabincore without that.

And just like we gave you a plethora of cottage outfits for the summer, we'll be giving you a variety of outfit formulas perfect for when you're feeling like braving the outdoors. What are you waiting for? It's time to put your hiking boots on and get to scrolling.

If you want to be extra cozy, layer your shacket over your comfiest hoodie.

If you're not into the classic flannels, opt for a more unique take like a dress or skirt.

These tall lug-soled boots are all the rage this season, and they look perfect under a flannel coat.

Sweatpants have never looked so good.

If you're still not over your dresses of the summer, find one that has a flannel-like print and put on a pair of chunky boots, and you're good to go.

If you're going for a more elevated look, wear your flannel with a T-shirt and a pair of structured trousers.

You can't go wrong with a pair of denim. Also, how cool are those sleeves?

We love the colors on this coat.

Coordinate your accessories with your flannel print and the leaves outside.

We love how she wore a pair of strappy heels for a more elevated look.

Even if you live in a place with warmer temperatures like L.A., you can still get along with the flannel trend.
