Last week, while writing a story on fall's '90s minimalist vibe, I came upon a plethora of images of Gwyneth Paltrow from that decade. While I've seen many of these photos before, this time around, they sparked my sartorial senses. Probably because they feel altogether relevant right now. With everything from slip dresses to leather blazers and minimalist maxi skirts having a moment this fall, Gwyneth's style has become a great source of inspo for my new-season wardrobe. I want to copy this exact outfit was the predominant thought that came to mind while going down a rabbit hole of her '90s looks. The best part is that her ensembles are so easy to emulate this season with all the chic minimalist pieces on the market right now.

Take a peek below at some of my favorite Gwyneth looks from the '90s that are absolutely perfect for fall, and then shop out the ensembles for yourself. You have my full permission to make this your fall mood board.

I think about this taupe sleeveless sweater-and-scarf combo a lot. It's possibly the perfect knit for fall. Just add black leather pants and pearl earrings to complete the look.

Sleek and streamlined maxi-length skirts are having a major moment this season and Gwyneth is giving me major inspiration on how to style them. Just add a black sweater, of-the-moment bomber jacket, and cool kicks.

I'm utterly obsessed with this simple yet striking maxi-length shirtdress that Gwyneth wore to The Pallbearer premiere back in 1996. I've spent a lot of time trying to find one that comes close to this beauty.

Easy, effortless, and cool—Gwyneth proves that straight-leg jeans paired with a black leather blazer are always a winning combination.

Gwyneth hits on all of fall 2022's biggest trends here: a worn-in leather jacket and a pastel dress in a maxi-length silhouette. This a cool outfit idea for your next night out.

I love a chic matching skirt set, and this one Gwyneth wore on the set of Great Expectations in 1996 in a head-turning Kelly-green hue is exactly the kind of statement look I'm going for this season.

Gwyneth's love for sleek and streamlined Calvin Klein dresses was evident throughout the '90s. She paired this subtle baby-blue one with black pumps.

Okay, how cool and casual does this all-black ensemble look? A black tank and loose black pants paired with Adidas Gazelles couldn't be more on-trend right now.

Gwyneth was all about strapless dresses and tube tops in the '90s, and this simple yet striking silhouette is such an easy and chic formula to copy that feels fresh right now. Just add sleek black mules to finish your look.

There is something so ridiculously chic about this all-black outfit. All you need is a body-hugging turtleneck paired with leather pants and chic, block-heel black boots. An ideal drinks-and-dinner autumn look.

Pair a simple gray tube top with a black knee-length pencil skirt and mules for the perfect transitional summer-to-fall Gwyneth outfit. You can also add boots and a chic overcoat once the temps start to cool.
