Congratulations are in order for Hilary Duff and record producer/musician Matthew Koma, who just tied the knot in a small pre-holiday ceremony at their home in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged earlier this year (see her gorgeous cushion-cut ring) and had a daughter together late last year.
Duff worked with her stylist Jessica Paster in choosing the designer, and they settled on Jenny Packham (who works with Kate Middleton quite a bit). After months of sketches and feedback, the resulting dress is surprisingly modern and features a very on-trend detail. Duff shared the experience with Vogue (video below!), saying, "When we were coming up with the design, it was important to me that it was striking but simple. I couldn't imagine wearing a big fluffy dress." The formfitting dress is made of stretch georgette and features large shoulder pads (the aforementioned on-trend detail), which have been all over the runways in recent seasons, with a striking cape detail that forms a train.
