The Aman just opened in New York and is easily one of the buzziest new hotels of 2022. Known for a refined take on minimalism, Aman hotels always blend the setting of the locale with a sense of quiet elegance. Set on Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park in the heart of Manhattan, the soothing interiors are a respite from the honking horns and busy streets outside. Of all of the new hotel openings, the latest Aman is the place I want to spend a night at first and I already know this will be one of the most in-demand places to visit in NYC.

While Aarons focused his lens on the hotel during the '60s, it's still just as iconic today for travelers looking to head to Italy for a dip in the Mediterranean. Located on a rugged private cove on the Argentario Coast of Tuscany, the property strikes an atmosphere of understated luxury and retro glamour that has been maintained since many decades ago.

One of my friends visited Thyme in the Cotswolds last year and ever since I can't get it out of my mind. Set in the quaint city where The Holiday was filmed, it's about as close as you can get to stepping onto the set of a Nancy Meyers film, which makes it all the more appealing. The boutique hotel is set in a cluster of 17th-century cottages on the 150-acre Southrop Manor Estate in the English countryside with refined interiors that are designed with a modern country style with heavy oak beams and crackling fireplaces. If you're looking for a countryside escape, this is what I would add to the top of your travel list.

I visited Venice once and was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the city. Steeped in history, with a rich culture of art and film, incredibly walkable (if you don't mind getting lost), and very photogenic, it's a place I always recommend to anyone looking for a romantic escape for a few days. During my visit, I wasn't able to stay at the Aman, but it's now at the top of my list. As someone who loves the juxtaposition of historic interiors paired with modern furnishings, the 16th-century palazzo filled with pared-back decor is just what I want to surround myself with next time I'm in Venice.

I've never been to the French Riviera but have always wanted to visit—and Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc has always sat on the top of my list. Set on a craggy cliffside on the glittering Côte d'Azur, the hotel is an iconic destination that has a 150-year history, drawing famous guests including Slim Aarons, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jackie Kennedy, and Kate Moss over the years and continues to serve as the backdrop for celebrities attending the Cannes film festival. This is the place to head for a dose old school glamour in the heart of the sun-struck Mediterranean.

While I used to live in Paris, I've always dreamed of staying at the Ritz and can't imagine a more incredible way of experiencing the city. After undergoing a four-year restoration, the hotel reopened its doors in 2016 to unveil updates to the glamorous space which originally opened in 1898. Between the pristine rooms and cocktails at Bar Hemingway—plus plenty of time dipping out to vintage fashion shops and buzzy restaurants—I plan to see Paris one day this way.
