My Perfectly Curated List of Trendy Finds at Nordstrom, H&M, and J.Crew

I love the holidays. Even in Los Angeles, where we’re currently oscillating between moody gray days and blistering heat, I’m feeling festive! Maybe I’ve been bolstered by a relatively drama-free Thanksgiving, or perhaps it’s the siren song of holiday parties yet to come. Whatever it is, I'm feeling the cheer.

This holiday season, I’m trying to toe the line between treating myself to some frivolity while getting ahead of my style resolutions. For an impulse shopper and self-proclaimed procrastinator (yes, I have been driving around with donation-bound bags of clothes in my trunk since, uh, let me get back to you on that), this is a big deal. It’s a delicate balance to strike, but years of e–window shopping (aka filling up and abandoning carts) have paid off. I’ve scoured three tried-and-true online shopping meccas for the finds that will have you looking fabulous at all your holiday soirées and beyond.

H&M

My first order of business? Spicing things up at all impending parties. H&M has been dazzling recently with saucy minidresses, sizzling sequins, and that Paco Rabanne collab I set several alarms for.

If you're prioritizing staying in over parties this year, you'll need something cozy to curl up in.

Including these perfect fuzzy sweatpants. Pair with hot chocolate (and extra marshmallows).

The draping on this is sumptuous and elevated, the color to die for. I'd pair this with slicked-back hair and a matching red lip.

I've always been a sucker for an off-shoulder dress. It feels '80s glam in the best way.

These gorgeous boots would be a fun way to edge up either of the above.

Or you can keep it simple with these delicate satin strappy heels.

A mock-neck + sequins? Festive and cozy!

I loved everything from this Paco Rabanne collab, but they really nailed it with these electric purple paillettes.

It's time to bring peplum back! Paired with slim black pants, the overall effect is Audrey Hepburn, not aged or dated.

You'll get use out of these long after the tinsel's been packed up.

A statement earring is the perfect way to jazz up an all-black holiday look (and I'm obsessed with that electric-blue eye shadow).

Heels with a built-in anklet? I'm powerless to resist.

H&M low-key has some beautiful bras, lovely for peeking out from beneath lacy or sheer blouses.

When was the last time you refreshed your underwear drawer? You're welcome for the reminder.

J.CREW

Once January rolls around, it'll be back to basics. For a month that can notoriously stretch on, you'll catch me in classic denim, cozy sweaters, and statement coats to check off those new year errands in.

Confession: I have an old fleece I just can't let go of that's seen better days. This structured sherpa jacket is the perfect replacement.

The detailing on this delicate crochet top is so beautiful, it's almost too pretty to wear. Almost.

I live in oversize button-downs and am always on the hunt for more to add to my collection. My tip: Buy one in your true size for work/Zooms and size up for casual weekend wear over leggings.

PS: The white is on sale. You know what they say. If you love something, buy it in every color!

This sweater is it: no itch and a cozy funnel neck. Another one you can buy true to size or bigger for an oversize fit.

I can't get over how darling those jewel buttons are.

Just an excellent pair of rigid, perfectly washed slim jeans.

I'll be pairing this with the above-mentioned jewel button denim top.

NORDSTROM

If you're looking for something, chances are Nordstrom has it. It's the perfect stop to fill in any wardrobe gaps as well as find special pieces to round out all my wedding guest obligations next year.

Buttery soft and super flattering, this dress is as fitting for WFH as it is for feeling polished while running around town, claw clip in.

The espresso color on this so decadent and a nice switch-up from classic black. Plus, with detachable cuffs and collar, it's essentially two coats for the price of one.

The cut says Grecian goddess; the midnight-blue color makes it cocktail ready.

I'm feeling a choker revival for 2024 and this Éliou is a cool blend of dainty pearls and edgy silver.

The final touch? Silver heels to rip up the dance floor in. (I'm opting for a closed toe just in case I miss a pedi.)
