Kate Middleton has given birth to her third child, a baby boy. Kensington Palace has confirmed via Twitter that the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London’s Paddington at 11:01 a.m. local time. She was accompanied by her husband, the Duke of Cambridge.
The Duchess had a complex birthing plan, and proceedings have now continued to follow royal protocol: an announcement on social media, before an official letter announcing the baby's birth date and time, sex, and weight will be posted on an easel outside of Buckingham Palace.
The latest addition to the Royal Family is fifth in line to the throne, after his brother Prince George, and sister Princess Charlotte.
