Kate Middleton Wore Her New Favorite Pant Trend With the Prettiest Chanel Bag

We're quickly approaching the time of year when royal style consists of a lot of wool coats, black tights, and suede pumps, but until then, we're taking every opportunity to enjoy the royals' best transitional fall outfits, and Kate Middleton just stepped out in a winner. For a visit to London's Natural History Museum today, she put together what's quite possibly the perfect fall outfit, which is most notable for the fact that it contained her new favorite pant trend and a Chanel bag that we're drooling over.

The pants in question are culottes, which Middleton wore last month (from Zara, no less), but that wasn't the first time the duchess has embraced the wide-leg cropped pant trend—she wore them in August and on several occasions earlier in the summer. Today, Middleton opted to pair the elastic-waist pants with a slim top and heels with very chic results.

Don't think we've forgotten to elaborate on that Chanel bag either. Let's be honest, we love any and every Chanel bag, but this one took our breath away. The quilted top-handle clutch is in the same burgundy hue as Middleton's sweater and heels and it features a hammered gold strap with the tiniest double C detail at the base. It's basically the definition of a dream bag.
