The Trends That Will Blow Up in 2017, According to Lauren Conrad
I don’t know about you, but I’m finding it hard to believe that 2017 is now upon us! And I’m excited as ever to make this year the best year yet. While my overall style is pretty classic, I’ve never been one to shy away from change—whether it’s remodeling my home, switching up my beauty routine, or refining my wardrobe. New (and sometimes recycled) trends are proving that the New Year is going to be the chicest yet.
Since I’ve already been planning my upcoming collections for both Paper Crown and LC Lauren Conrad, you can bet that I have a pretty hefty list of trends that I’ve had my eye on. Today I’m going to share with you five up-and-coming trends that I’m predicting to be huge in 2017.
Keep scrolling to see which pieces I’ll be adding into my own closet in the coming months…
Pink, Please
One trend that I’m particularly excited about has to be the rise of pink. I’ve always been a pink girl myself, and I love being able to shop all of the different hues and styles. One piece that I’ve been wearing over and over again this season is my Paper Crown Cologne Jacket. I swear it goes with everything in my closet!
Ruffles
Ruffles are on the horizon for the upcoming year, and I could not be more excited. There’s nothing more romantic than a ruffled detail, whether it’s on a fancy frock or a feminine blouse. You can bet that I’ll be incorporating this trend into my own wardrobe in more ways than one.
Bold Stripes
It’s true that fashion repeats itself, and these bold ’70s-inspired stripes are the perfect example. From turtlenecks to dresses to T-shirts, there’s no wrong way to sport a stripe. These are just a few of the many pieces that I’ve had my eye on…
Mules
Say hello to the one shoe that’s dominating my closet. Mules in all varieties are taking over the fashion world, and I’m pretty smitten with them. Mule slides are my favorite way to wear this trend, especially with the faux-fur lining. My feet can use a little extra warmth this time of year!
Sleeve Interest
Similar to the ruffle trend I just covered, interesting sleeves have been making quite an impact. Whether it’s bell, cold shoulder, or incorporating some kind of ruffle detail, no top is complete this season without a little embellishment.
Which one of these trends do you like best? Let me know in the comments!
XO, Lauren
