I took a look back at the documented outfits of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen over the past few years, and there were a few themes. One of them was very few jeans. They're clearly trouser girls and have been wearing puddle pants long before they were a trend. And now that they are a trend, it hasn't stopped them from wearing them.
While out shopping together in West Hollywood this week, Mary-Kate and Ashley had the similar idea of wearing long and loose black pants. Ashley paired hers (which had more of a flare shape) with an oversized white T-shirt and pointed-toe boots while Mary-Kate went with a scarf, long black blazer, and flip-flops. If you saw their outfits without context, it would be difficult to guess what season it was, but I suppose that also proves the versatility of a pair of black puddle pants. They'd work as part of a carefree summer outfit or a cozy fall one.
