By now we don't even blink when we see models and cool girls all over Instagram wearing the buzziest trends of the season. But when powerful women outside of the fashion world get in on these insider styles, I can't tell you how exciting it is to witness. Case in point: the nearly sold-out blazer Michelle Obama wore during a recent event to promote her forthcoming book, Becoming, is the epitome of the holiday trend we're calling chandelier dressing.
The sparkly trend involves loads of dripping crystals on everything from shoes to bags to jewelry, and it's been taking over our Instagram feeds as of late. But seeing Obama put her stamp of approval on it via a Christopher Kane blazer was exhilarating in a different way.
