How to Wear an LBD the It-Girl Way

What's better than an easy-to-wear little black dress? One with trendy details or a unique silhouette that instantly freshens up the classic look. And leave it to It girls Emma Watson, Alexa Chung, and Emma Stone to show us exactly what to look for in a modern take on the LBD.

Simply put, it's all about boldness. We're talking oversize ruffles, dramatic silhouettes, and varying textures. Emma Watson took on velvet in a beautifully draped V-neck dress and coordinating sandals. At the same event, Alexa Chung showed us that ruffles and leather could coexist by wearing a Chanel number that incorporated both elements in the coolest of ways. However, Emma Stone really wowed in her LBD gown, complete with a thigh-high slit and contrasting peplum. All three It girls proved LBDs don't have to be understated to be fashion forward.
