RevolveIt's been 13 years since Nicole Richie launched House of Harlow 1960, her clothing and accessories line for Revolve, but for the first time ever, she's teamed up with her sister, Sofia, for the spring collection. In fact, this is the first time the sisters have worked on a project period. If you're a fan of House of Harlow 1960, you know that the brand's aesthetic is distinctly '70s-inspired, and with Sofia's signature effortlessly cool California-girl touch added to the mix, you have the perfect grouping of pieces to wear throughout this summer of reemergence.
The collection was inspired by Lauren Hutton in the '70s, lounging in the Pacific Isles. That translates to a plethora of day-to-night pieces, including matching sets in juicy hues, interesting slip dresses, sleek swimwear, and crochet pieces that are best described as modern bohemian.
Pieces from House of Harlow 1960 x Sofia Richie will continue to drop each month through July, but if you want to start building your late-spring/summer wardrobe now, scroll to shop our favorite pieces from the first drop. But first up, scroll to read the answers Nicole and Sofia gave to some of our most burning questions.

RevolveDid you learn anything new about each other's personal style (or about each other, in general) throughout the design process? How did your sartorial differences shape the collection?
Nicole Richie: Sofia has such a great eye, and it was great watching her put looks together within the collection that I never would have thought of. We each designed individual garments instead of doing each piece together. This allowed the collection to represent both of us and made the collection full and complete.
Which piece do you predict will sell out first, and which piece(s) does each of you think you'll wear the most?
NR: That’s a hard question! Sofia will say the oversize button-down shirts. I am loving the maxi dresses, and we did some great crochet knits that are perfect for spring and summer.
Sofia Richie: It's so hard to say, but personally, I think all of the sets are so cute and easy to throw on for a foolproof spring look. For me, I love an oversize button-down, so I'll be living in all the menswear-inspired shirting. They're so versatile and can be worn super casual with a good pair of denim shorts and some great accessories or over a bathing suit.

RevolveThis collection is filled with so many optimistic styles that are perfect for going back out in the world but that are still relaxed and comfortable. How did the current state of things influence your vision and goals for the collection?
NR: It was impossible to predict how people were going to be spending their lives, especially when we started working on this collection, which was right at the beginning of the pandemic. I am more focused on the way I wanted the woman to feel. This spring is about newness. We are entering a new world. And I’m wanting women to feel comfortable in their bodies and excited to go out into the world. I think this collection speaks to that.
