I’m a Fashion Girl on a Budget—30 New Nordstrom Items That Caught My Eye

I'm a new mom, which, for those of you that aren't new moms, means I tend to do a lot of scrolling when it comes to shopping for myself and not a lot of buying these days. They told me a baby was expensive, and they were right. Hence, while my son is the best thing that's ever happened to me, it goes without saying that my spending habits have changed. The thing is, I still love clothes. But, since I now have more pressing items, like a toy shell phone, to buy (which is exactly what it sounds like: a cell phone in the shape of a shell) I have to be more strategic about my clothing buys than I used to be.

Enter: Nordy's. Regardless of why you're on a budget, Nordstrom consistently offers a wide range of chic yet affordable options that make this often very tired mom feel like the cat's meow. A word to the wise: don't sleep on their in-house brands like Open Edit and Treasure and Bond. Both have excellent basics that much of the time wind up being steeply discounted. So, if you've come this far and you'd like to see what I'm currently obsessing over, don't stop here! My favorite 30 new Nordstrom pieces that won't break the bank are just below.

I never thought I was a vest person until now.

The flare of this maxi skirt really takes the drama up a notch.

I've been on the hunt for some chocolate brown cords and these fit the bill.

The bigger the blazer, the better in my book.

This is one of those basics everyone needs in their closet.

Indigo denim is emerging as an early 2024 trend.

Bell sleeves and a bold pattern? Count me in.

I'm over black sunglasses - these are too fun.

All I need is a ticket to my next sunny vacation and we're golden.

TBH, you can't beat a faux leather jacket that looks this high quality at this price.

These have a bit of a Tory Sport retro feel to them which I'm loving (but at a much lower prie).

Silver shoes don't appear to be going anywhere so I'd get on board.

Every fashion girlie seems to be wearing a fitted cardigan in this shade of brown right now.

I'd wear this scarf with a to-the-floor coat and sneakers.

I can't get enough of wide-leg trousers these days.

Ok, this costs more than your average t-shirt for sure, but you know it'll last longer than its less expensive counterparts.

Taupe is a great neutral color you don't see with a button-down everyday.

I can't stop including this sweater in shopping guides - I love it so much.

I keep imagining a rich mom in these and a long cashmere cardigan and I want the look.
