I Spent 2 Hours Trying On Dresses at Zara, and These 6 Left Me Speechless

If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that whenever I'm anywhere near a Zara location, I'm going to walk in and try on at least a dozen items. I've been this way since a Zara store opened in my local mall, and I'll probably always be this way. Call it a guilty pleasure. So, when I walked by the Bryant Park location last night after work, I naturally had to pop inside and see what was new. And it's a good thing I did because in all my years of shopping at Zara, there have only been a handful of occasions where my try-ons were this successful.

Within minutes of stepping inside the store's revolving doors, I had at least three items in my hand, all of which happened to be dresses. One loop around the main floor later, and I'd added four more to the pile. By the time I got downstairs to the dressing rooms, I'd accumulated more summer dresses than Zara allows you to take into the fitting room at once. Suddenly two hours had passed, and I'd tried on at least 15 dresses, six of which had rendered me speechless. I won't be able to sleep until I make it back to Zara to buy this dress. The draping is beyond gorgeous, and the fit felt like that of a designer gown.

This dress is the epitome of summertime elegance. I love the fit, length, and neckline. Everything about it is utterly perfect.

I'm not usually a minidress person, but this one is cute enough to convince me otherwise. The bows on the side and the asymmetric neckline put it over the edge.

This dress deserves an award for its price-to-quality ratio. Yes, it's that good.

I never thought I'd want to wear a dress with an attached cape until I saw—and subsequently tried on—this bright orange body-con midi dress.

To say this dress is beautiful would be the understatement of the year.

Now all you have to do is book an Italian vacation.

The low back on this dress takes it up a dozen levels.

It's a need, not a want.

I found your new everyday summer dress.

This is not your average LBD.

A slip dress is never a bad idea.

If you told me this dress was $700 instead of $70, I wouldn't argue.

This is the kind of dress you can wear summer after summer. It'll never go out of style.

This shade of green just screams luxury.

I want to be the kind of person who casually wears this dress to a late lunch on the Upper East Side.

Who wants to go in on a boat trip in the South of France? I need an excuse to buy this dress.

To be worn with sneakers, flat sandals, and more.

If there's a formal occasion in the cards for you this summer, this is the dress you should wear to it.

The sheer trend has never looked better.
