According to the London Times, they've tapped celebrity party planner Peregrine Armstrong-Jones (the mastermind behind David and Victoria Beckham's lavish wedding reception in 1999) to orchestrate a two-day celebration. Friday is set to include the traditional wedding festivities similar to Prince Harry and Markle's event. Then, on Saturday afternoon, the newlyweds will continue the party with a carnival-themed bash on the Royal Lodge grounds.
"There will be dodgems and funfair rides, coconut shies, lots of food stalls, loads of cocktails, Bloody Marys for the hangovers, and a festival vibe," the Times reports, according to Vogue. As the mag points out, this carnival-inspired weekend wedding follows other high-profile celebrations that have embraced similar themes. Just this month, Chiara Ferragni threw a weekend-long wedding celebration complete with a custom-made amusement park. It's beginning to look like extended celebrations with whimsical, festival-inspired themes may be the wedding trend to watch this fall.
