Editor's Picks: Shop the Items This Editor Has Wishlisted for Christmas

I have a confession to make: I have a love-hate relationship with Christmas. While I adore gifting, ham and afternoon naps, battling the weekend crowds at my local Westfield is not exactly my idea of festive.

To alleviate my frustrations, I've devised a system that makes Christmas shopping enjoyable. I start by collating links to gift ideas in the body of an email, sorted by person. I then work through the curated list without ever setting foot in a physical store. Happy recipients, even happier Jade.

Possibly the best part of this process is that I end up with an extensive list of things I'd like for myself—which I promptly forward to my fiancé to make his life easy (and my gifts awesome). Scroll to shop the items I'm asking for this year!

File this under: an impractical purchase that I can't help but need. Dubbed "the smallest It-bag ever", it's fit to carry little more than cards and keys, but my goodness it looks chic doing it. The oxblood colour is a fresh departure from basic black and will still go with everything I own.

This vintage-inspired logo motif tee is perfectly 2017. I'll wear it tucked into cropped jeans or an A-line denim skirt.

Dangling earrings have the ability to transform an everyday look into something more special. These Swarovski Fantastic earrings are a foolproof accompaniment to this season's constellation piercing trend.

I've been lusting after these ever since I saw a friend pair hers effortlessly with a floaty floral dress.

The ultimate summer shoe, one can never own too many slides. I'll be wearing these with everything from slip dresses to linen shorts.

I'm not a particularly girly-girl, however this floral midi dress hits all the right notes. I may even wear it to Christmas lunch.

The basket bag has been a staple in street style shots lately, so I'll be toting this affordable version to the beach. Who says sandy can't be chic?

Ever since becoming engaged, I've been drawn to sparkly things. The Swarovski Fizzy bangle works as a standalone, or as the glittering centrepiece in a bracelet stack.

I'm in desperate need of an updated leather jacket, and this Saint Laurent version is at the top of my list. The price is a little steep, so it's not something I'd ever buy for myself. Santa, baby?

Leandra Medine is one of my favourite people on the internet—I'm picking up whatever she's putting down. While my style is vastly different from the way the Man Repeller founder dresses herself, I sometimes find myself wishing I was a little more adventurous, a little more like Medine. These velvet flats are a welcome step in that direction—the ballerina detailing is modern and on-trend, yet the vibrant red hue is throwing serious Dorothy vibes.

I'll need this to store all my cards in in my fancy new (tiny) bag.

We all know that 2016 was the year of the slip dress—as evidenced by the amount of black silk slips I now own. The taupe hue and sturdier fabric of this Bassike version is an elevated take on beachside dressing for summer.

Every summer wardrobe needs a little black bikini. The square neckline is both athletic and polished—ideal for the effortless minimalist in me.
