I’m not the type to make shopping resolutions. When January comes around, post-holiday gift fatigue honestly leaves me a little too exhausted to think about picking out anything for myself. But, now that we’re a few weeks into the year, I’m finally finding myself inspired to look for new closet additions, whether inspired by the Couture Fashion Week street style or by the latest affordable arrivals.

Currently at the top of my must-have list are pieces that fill in the gaps I’ve discovered within my everyday closet. You know those days when you’re trying to pull an outfit together and you realize that one little thing is off? I try to keep track of what “fixes” I’m lacking and keep an eye out for them later on. Having a running list is easier for me, since I have a clear idea of exactly what I’m looking for, no distractions

As someone whose job it is to sort through thousands of new arrivals, I can still sometimes feel as if I have a case of choice paralysis. Picking something new can feel daunting when there are endless options. Additions like a dark-wash mini skirt, sporty flats, or a stylish jacket for layering on cold days, have risen to the top of my desires and luckily I’ve managed to find some great options at my go-to shops like Madewell, J.Crew, and Nordstrom. Ahead, shop the pieces I currently have sitting in my cart.

I love the fit of this shrunken tee.

The perfect spring coat for when it's not too cold anymore.

A denim skirt with a subtle flair.

This shirt adds an instant touch of dressiness.

The perfect not-too-tight jeans.

I love the dainty details on this dress.

A sleek pair of trousers is an essential.

These boots are at the top of my list.

A comfy sweatshirt that feels different.
