With a new season on the horizon, I can’t help but feel the urge to do a closet refresh, even if it’s with just a few standout pieces. But the question is whether I should focus on elevated basics or lean into my favorite trends. Perhaps, I should do a little of both or even pick pieces that overlap. I am not in short supply of inspiration either. As a fashion and shopping editor, I keep a constant eye on the new arrivals sections at retailers across the internet.
