What to Wear for Summer

My closet may be bursting at the seams, but let's be real: There's always room for more clothes. I can't help myself! Every time I log on to my computer, I'm dazzled by the cuteness splashed across the Who What Wear homepage. One retailer that's been soaring to the top of our editors' wish lists, especially mine, is J.Crew. I can't stop talking about the newness that's coming from Women's Creative Director Olympia Gayot. The brand has that refined, quiet luxury feel without the extra zeros at the end of the price tag. J.Crew's summer edit is perfect for any summer trip or event you have planned this season, and our editors had the chance to test out the latest pieces at our recent event in the Hamptons, which included a pool party and an alfresco dinner. Long story short: Their looks were a 10 out of 10. Keep scrolling to see some of the cutest pieces spotted in the Hamptons and other favorites I'm eyeing for my summer wardrobe.

Apparel & Swim

You'll soon see I have a thing for dresses in the summer. They're just so easy to wear. Dress 'em up, or dress 'em down—they're always a good idea.

The color! The material! The band in the middle! Perfection.

This halter-neck style looks luxe. I recommend wearing it to a pool party whether or not it's in the Hamptons.

I'm picturing this with strappy sandals and a raffia handbag for a brunch date with friends.

When the temps start to drop in the evening, a bright pink sweater will keep you feeling warm and looking chic.

I love anything poplin in the summer. The fabric is so lightweight and airy.

Why, yes, it does have a matching skirt. Funny you should ask!

I'm absolutely loving the color of this cover-up. And the sheer detailing makes it look way more expensive than it is.

Shoes & Accessories

Don't head to the beach without this raffia hat.

How is this necklace only $35? I'll definitely be packing it on every summer vacation.

No summer wardrobe is complete without a good pair of sunnies, and this shape screams classic.

The perfect thong sandal to wear with all of the above dresses. Just saying.

While I love a good heel, I'm always a sucker for a flat sandal for daytime.

The cutest beach tote to carry around your summer reads.

Espadrilles on a sunny day? There's nothing better.
