The Non-Negotiable Colour Trends to Invest in This Summer

When building out your summer wardrobe, colour is a key factor in deciding your aesthetic. We often turn to Pinterest to build out secret boards and moodboard our new season vibes. There are a handful of summer stapleslike white and neutrals—that we'll always include, but this summer we're adding more colour and fun to our wardrobes, and naturally we think you should do the same! Even if you're a minimalist and prefer to stick to a black and white colour palette, we see some of the shades below, like chocolate brown and metallic silver, almost as a neutral that you can easily weave into your wardrobe, even if it's just through your accessories.

Influencers have jumped on the neon trend ever since it took over the runways of Maryam Nassir Zadeh and Michael Kors in September, but softer shades of lavender and yellow have also been popping up across Instagram.

Below we've highlighted the biggest colour trends of this summer.

Chocolate Brown

Although the shade became popular in winter, it seems that it will continue to be a huge trend during the warmer months.

Neon

Neon won't be going away any time soon, so choose the shade to suit you best, and add it to your wardrobe.

Lavender

Lavender has been slowly gaining momentum over the last few months with brands like Zimmermann and Glassons adding it to their stores. This is the feminine shade to replace millennial pink.

Orange

If you like to be bold and bright, why not try some orange this summer to make your outfit fun and fruity.

Yellow

Every shade of yellow appeared on Instagram during the European summer and it looks like its sticking around for the Australian summer too.

Silver

New Year's Eve isn't far away and with silver becoming a popular choice for summer, why not make sure you shine as you ring in 2019.
