Four Trendy Spring Hair Colors Fashion Girls in L.A. & NYC Have on Their Radar
I'm in the mood for having a little fun with hair colors this spring. Are you? A new season gives so many unique opportunities for exploration; departing from what once worked to discover what could be working even better. I'm a natural brunette but have always been drawn to the idea of lightening my curly coils to bring a little light to my face as the weather gets warmer.
For a better idea of what to expect from hair color trends this season, I reached out to Jennifer Korab, a New Jersey celebrity hairstylist specializing in colors and extensions. While her work can be found on the NYFW runways and in multiple publications, she's also an educator for Pureology and owns Renaissance Salon and Spa and Revival Barber Shop, also both based in NJ. Keep reading to discover the spring hair color trends Korab predicts will be big from coast to coast.

Korab has started to see the emergence of three new, trendy hair colors on her radar: the return of the golden, sun-kissed blonde and brunette shades. "We're seeing a trend of adding more sun-kissed tones to blonde and brunette hair, whether it be in a highlight or a balayage," she explains. Gone are sun-bleached blonde tendrils! It's the warmer, the better for spring 2023. Copper and auburn tones are also trending for spring. "We're also seeing so many variations of copper and auburn. Also, tangerine and apricot to lighten up the deep rads we saw this fall," says Korab.
If you're not drawn to any of these trendy new shades, don't worry! What's new won't always outshine the old when it comes to hair trends. "From 2022, we are still seeing the expensive brunette hair color carrying over into 2023," Korab continues. That's right, whether you like it or not, that honey-hued brunette tone that took over last year (thanks to the likes of Hailey Bieber and a number of other high-profile celebs) will be making a reappearance this spring.

@hungvanngoAre you bold enough to take the plunge and try one of these trendy spring hair colors? If you're in need for a little spring color inspiration, look no further than at your favorite celebrities and public figures as they take to the red carpet this award season. As a celebrity stylist, Korab is keeping tabs of which stars are rocking these hair colors. Her standout celebs include Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, Jenna Ortega and Phoebe Dynevor. In the coming months, we're sure to see more copper, auburn, and blonde hairstyles making waves.
That being said, changing up your hair color can be challenging without the proper steps and precautions in place. If you're considering trying one of these super-color hair colors this season, Korab recommends scheduling a consultation with your stylist. "During the consultation, you can discuss which tones best suit you, and have a game plan on how to achieve your hair colors," says Korab. Going from a dark brunette to a sun-kissed blonde is no easy feat, but with the help of your stylist, you'll be rocking your new color in no time. Feeling inspired?
