As fashion editors, we love nothing more than an opportunity to step away from our desks and have a bit of fun with our outfits (it's easy to slip into a 9-5 uniform if we're not careful). And last week at Fashion Week Australia—one of our favourite weeks in the fashion calendar—we had the perfect opportunity to get out of the office and trial some new trends.
Our group publisher, Alison Rice, and editorial director, Amanda Stavropoulos, find constant joy in the opportunity to dream up new outfits—and trial them on the streets of fashion week. Their first port of call? A few (thousand) scrolls through endless street style images for inspiration, and then there's a fresh excuse to shop for new clothes and accessories.
Fashion week often involves 12-18 hour days for our editors—they'll be running between shows, publishing stories, and pulling together impromptu shoots backstage—so while style is paramount, comfort is important, too. And Alison and Amanda's outfit choices are proof that you don't have to sacrifice one in favour of the other. Scroll down to see every look our editors wore last week, and recreate them for yourself.
